Our Boxing program is a two-for-one cardio and strength workout regimen which targets the entire body while boosting strength and cardiorespiratory fitness. It also improves a number of skill-related parameters of fitness – including balance, coordination, reactivity, and agility. This ultimate, high-intensity interval training workout program is comprised of boxing rounds that alternate between periods of maximum effort and active recovery. It is both an aerobic and an anaerobic workout …. the type of exercise that builds strength, speed, and power, all while boosting your metabolism and burning calories. Deciding which kind of class to attend is just the first step in preparing to raise those gloves for the first time.

Our Boxing Program Offers 2 Class Formats

  • KickBoxing

  • Punchography™

If you’re looking to increase strength, confidence, coordination, or you’re just after a kickass cardio workout, KickBoxing will keep you coming back for more. Kickboxing combines elements of boxing, martial arts, and aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and toning. Unlike other types of kickboxing, cardio kickboxing does not involve physical contact between competitors — it’s a cardiovascular workout that’s done because of its many benefits to the body. Kickboxing begins with a warm-up and gradually increases in intensity, offering a full-body workout that includes movements such as knee strikes, kicks, and punches. Exercises like push-ups and crunches are incorporated into the workout to boost your strength and flexibility, in addition to functional training movements and high-energy training. Couple that with some pumping vibes and motivating beats… you’ve got yourself one kick-butt workout!

Coordination achieved in workouts such as boxing will help you perform better in any activity and strengthen the brain-body connection, in addition to boosting your body awareness so you can tune in to how you’re feeling physically. While most exercise routines don’t do much in this department, hand-eye coordination is key for boxing. Punching a bag or sparring requires focused movements and amazing recall, challenging your muscles and your mind. How about some core work…. lets skip the sit-ups and glove up instead. Boxing is highly targeted to your core since your hips need to rotate in order to get full extension and deliver a more powerful blow.

At The Beat Fitness you will be able to experience this awesome boxing workout in Kristina’s trademark class, called Punchography™… a boxing class structured around strengthening moves and rocking vibes. Come and work hard on our heavy bags as you mix choreographed boxing combinations with rocking, upbeat, motivating music.
