Pilates is similar to yoga but emphasizes your body’s core… the abdomen, obliques, lower back, inner and outer thigh and glutes. For this reason, Pilates moves require you to virtually engage your entire body. Pilates allows you to strengthen one muscle while stretching another, encouraging you to focus on concentrate on the exercises as you progress. Pilates develops much of what we need… strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, coordination and balance – all that promotes good posture and prevent injury in our everyday life.
